February 6, 2013, Pune: The Alliance for US India Business (AUSIS) is leading a multi-state high-profile delegation to India from the US to explore opportunities for collaboration between Indian and US Universities. The delegation signed 12 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with various Universities in Pune and Karad during the first leg of their tour in Western Maharashtra.
In Pune 10 MOU’s were signed between AISSMS Group of Institutions and Universities from Iowa. On the AISSMS group of institutes the College of Engineering, Institute of Information Technology, College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, College of Pharmacy, Institute of Management and Industrial Training Center signed MOU’s with IOWA State University, University of IOWA, University of North IOWA and Kirkwood Community College, IOWA.
At Karad two MoUs were signed between Krishna Medical University and Health Oasis and Walter Reed AMC.
Speaking at the Indo-US Education Colloquium in Pune, AUSIB President Mr. Sanjay Puri said, “The states of Iowa and Maharashtra are ideal partners for higher education collaboration and we believe that the MoUs signed over the last few days will result in opening bigger opportunities for the students in both countries.”
The AUSIB delegation will now travel to Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and Jalandar for further meeting with Universities in these cities.
