Washington DC: The Alliance for US India Business (AUSIB) hosted Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during his recent visit to the US, and discussed ways of enhancing higher education between the US and Madhya Pradesh in particular.
AUSIB presented Chief Minister Chouhan the bilateral post-secondary and higher education collaboration potential and laid out plans for a roadmap to put Madhya Pradesh on the international education map. The two parties would work towards a program that would create an example of Madhya Pradesh for other Indian states to follow.
The Chief Minister on his part also invited all those present as Guests of the State to the Global Investor Summit in Madhya Pradesh from October 28-30, 2012. He also expressed a keen interest in hosting an international Education Conclave in Madhya Pradesh in early 2013 that would establish the state as India’s prime educational hub.
AUSIB President, Sanjay Puri expressed optimism after the meetings and said, “Madhya Pradesh holds great education potential and the right collaborations with the US education players can put the state on the global education map. AUSIB will work closely with the Chief Minister to make this happen and build higher education infrastructure leaders in the state as well.”
Chief Minister Chouhan also met with Congressman Frank Pallone and discussed other avenues of collaboration with him.
