Salman Khurshid (Cong. I) is an Indian politician, lawyer and writer. He was elected as Member of the Lok Sabha from the Farrukhabad constituency in the 2009 general elections.
He was previously the Minister of State for External Affairs from 1991-96. He was also appointed as an Officer on Special Duty in the Prime Minister's Office during the Prime Ministership of Mrs. Indira Gandhi.
Mr Khurshid is an alumnus of the Delhi Public School, St. Stephen's College, Delhi and St. Edmund Hall, Oxford. He was a Junior Research Fellow and then Lecturer at Trinity College, Oxford. His grandfather Dr. Zakir Hussain was the third President of India.
