October 11, 2011, Washington, D.C.: Honorable Chief Minister of Jharkhand Mr. Arjun Munda is scheduled to visit US and Canada between October 16 and October 25 on a business trip. Alliance for US India Business (AUSIB) looks forward to Mr. Munda’s visit and expects to meet him on October 17 in Washington DC.

Mr. Munda is scheduled to meet Mr. Sanjay Puri, President of AUSIB, over business discussions on October 17. Mr. Munda and Mr. Puri are expected to discuss about the growing bilateral relationship of the US and India and the advantages of reinforcing the already strong economic partnership. In the recent times, the US has recognized India as an eminent business and strategic partner in Asia, Mr. Puri would like to highlight the point and further discuss how to take the bipartisan relationship ahead.

During his visit in the US and Canada, Mr. Munda is expected to project and accentuate the positives of Jharkhand. The business-friendly government policies and other amenities to ease starting and expanding ventures in the state are also likely to figure in his discussions.

Mr. Munda’s first business meet is scheduled to happen on October 17 with Mr. G. Balasubramanian – from Consul & Head of Chancery, Embassy of India; then with Mr. Vinay Quatra – from Minister Commerce; and Mr. Vijay Narula - President and CEO, Optimal Solution and Technologies.

Mr. Munda would end his day by meeting Mr. Partho Banerjee - President and Managing Director of Hughes Communication India Ltd, India.

On Day 2, he would fly to Toronto and meet with high-level diplomats. His itinerary includes participation in India Show 2011 on October 19 and business conferences with industrialists and people of Indian origin on October 20.  After reaching Vancouver on October 21, he is scheduled to meet up with Chamber of Commerce/ SME Sector/ Vancouver Board of Trade. On October 23 he would be on his way back to New Delhi.

The delegation to US and Canada includes Chief Minister of Jharkhand Mr. Munda, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren, Chief Secretary – Govt. of Jharkhand – Sushil Kumar Choudhary, Principal Secretary to Hon’ble Chief Minister D K Tiwari, Secretary Industries – Govt of Jharkhand – A P Singh, Managing Director – RIADA – Manish Ranjan, and Managing Director – JSMDC – A K Shukla.
