Jaithirth (Jerry) Rao

Jaithirth Rao is the Chairman and CEO of Mphasis, an IT solutions and BPO company with headquarters in both New York and Bangalore. He is also the Chairman of the NASSCOM Foundation. With an illustrious career spanning more than 20 years, Rao was awarded the 'Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award’ in 2004.  

He is an alumnus of the University of Chicago and the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. A native of Bangalore, India, he is also a columnist at the Indian Express. Mr. Rao is a visiting lecturer at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

He is on the Board of the Cadbury India, Gabriel India, Arvind Mills (India's largest Textile Company), Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation AMC, Development Gateway Foundation (Washington D.C.), India Foundation for the Arts (Bangalore), IIM Ahmedabad Alumni Trust and Sujaya Foundation (Mumbai).
