A high-level delegation from Gujarat, India consisting of government and corporate leaders will visit the East Coast starting September 10 to 18, 2010 in preparation of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2011. The 20 member delegation will visit Washington D.C, New York, Boston and Richmond and meet with industry leaders in the US to explore collaboration opportunities in view of the 2011 Summit in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.   

The Vibrant Gujarat Summit will be held on 12-13 January, 2011 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. The event is designed to allow interaction between industry leaders and policy-makers from across the globe, and increase investment flows into Gujarat.

Delegation Agenda:

•        The Gujarat Delegation shall meet with leading businesses in the Energy, IT, Bio-technology, Pharma, Automotive, Food & Agro, Financial Services and Textile sector in the U.S. to explore business avenues for the sector in Gujarat, India.

•        Promote Gujarat as a business/investment destination through meetings with business leaders and trade associations. Explore long-term collaboration opportunities with such entities.

•         Meet with representatives of educational institutions to evaluate possibilities of tie-ups between such institutions in Gujarat and the U.S.

•         Invite industry representatives to the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2011.

•         Interact with the Indian-American/Gujarati/NRI community.
