AUSIB delivers a cost-effective way to help your business or State succeed in India and the US. We partner with member companies and States to create bottom-line results that moves business forward. AUSIB draws its strength from the Indian American community which has been a strong catalyst for the growth of small and medium sized businesses in the U.S., the engine of growth in both economies. The power of the Indian-American community coupled with an unparalleled resource and contact base translates into a bilateral organization that has a proven success track record. We are a goals-driven, not for profit independent trade body, that effectively represents both US and Indian companies.
Transform your goals and missions into reality by joining AUSIB with a member fee that is comparable to what one exploratory trip to India or the US would cost. India fully anticipates accelerated U.S.-India trade relations and considers the Indian American community a principal catalyst in making the U.S. India’s largest trading partner.
India's economic development and trade relations with the U.S. are also of increasing interest and concern to the White House and the U.S. Congress. On July 27, 2005, more than 90 corporations including Exxon, Time Warner, Boeing, Nokia, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Wal-Mart, Ford, Mitsubishi, Xerox, Hewlett Packard, Pfizer, etc. participated in the inaugural summit of the Congressional Task Force on US-India Investment and Trade Relations held by AUSIB in cooperation with the House International Relations Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific. The Congressional Task Force is made up of key lawmakers in the U.S. Congress responsible for increasing and accelerating U.S.-India trade. Representative Eni F.H. Faleomavaega, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, and the Global Environment; and Representative Chris Cannon, Ranking Member of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Commercial and Administrative Law, serve as the co-chairs of the Task Force. The Task Force members include the Honorable Charles B. Rangel, Chairman of the House Committee on Ways and Means; the Honorable Jerry Lewis, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Appropriations; the Honorable Donald A. Manzullo, Ranking Member on Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific and the Global Environment; the Honorable James Oberstar, Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation; the Honorable Jim McDermott, Chairman of the House Ways and Means Income Security and Family Support Subcommittee and Co-Chair of the House Caucus on Indians and Indian Americans, the Honorable Mike Pence, Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Middle East and South Asia of the House Foreign Affairs Committee; the Honorable Joseph Crowley; Former Co-Chair of the House Caucus on Indians and Indian Americans and of the House Foreign Affairs Committee; the Honorable John Doolittle; and the Honorable Diane Watson of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Chair of the Congressional Entertainment Industries Caucus. AUSIB’s inaugural summit coincided with the launch of the CEO Forum, a high-level private sector exchange created by President Bush and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to improve the commercial climate between our two countries. As the CEO Forum focuses on furthering dialogue between the executive branches of government, AUSIB in cooperation with the Task Force parallels the work of the Forum at the legislative level and broadens participation in the economic dialogue. Acting as a support to the CEO Forum, which is limited to 10 top businesses from each country, AUSIB is open to all vested stakeholders.
An independent business alliance, AUSIB provides an extensive network of contacts in the political, legal and business arenas in the U.S. and in India.
