Banknet's 7th Annual Conference on Payment Systems to be held on January 19

January 7, 2011, Washington D.C:The Alliance for U.S. India Business (AUSIB) has partnered with Banknet India for its 7th Annual Conference on Payment Systems and Exhibition to be held at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, India on January 19, 2011. AUSIB will participate in the Conference as Banknet’s Outreach Partner.
The theme for this year’s Banknet Payment Conference is ‘Moving to Next Generation Payment Systems and Solutions’ and would focus on new products and initiatives in the field. A series of plenary and strategy sessions will deliberate upon the developments and challenges in the retail payment industry, emerging applications and approaches across payment services, Checks and ACH, Mobile Payments etc. A social awareness film to educate rural and semi-urban population to open bank accounts will also be released during the event. This is keeping in line with the major financial inclusion campaign undertaken by the Reserve Bank of India & Government of India.
Dr. K. C. Chakrabarty, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India will be the chief guest at the Conference. Other prominent speakers include Mr. M. Balakrishnan Chief Operating Officer, National Payments Corporation of India), Mr. Maninder Juneja (Senior General Manager – ICICI Bank) and Mr. K R Murali Mohan (General Manager - PBG, (Head - Alternate Channels & cards), IDBI Bank Ltd) among others.
