Arun Shourie
Arun Shourie is a renowned Indian journalist, author, intellectual and politician. He was previously the Union Minister of Disinvestment, Communication and Information Technology from 1998-2004.
He is also known as an economist and worked with the World Bank (1968-72 and 1975-77), and as a consultant to the Planning Commission of India. As a journalist he worked with The Indian Express and Times of India as Editor.
He has been felicitated by for his contributions to literature and journalism by being conferred the Padma Bhushan, the Magsaysay Award, the Dadabhai Naoroji Award, the Astor Award, the K.S. Hegde Award and the International Editor of the Year Award.
