November 23, Washington DC: The Alliance for U.S. India Business (AUSIB) will co-host the Indo-US Education Conclave 2011 at Hotel Westin, Pune, India between 5th and 7th December 2011. A first-of-its-kind global educational event to be held in India, the conclave will see a 90-member US delegation gracing the event, one of the largest US delegations to visit India. The event is been co-hosted along with Dr. D.Y.Patil University (DPU) and the State Legislative Leaders Foundation (SLLF).
The Conclave will address issues on improving the quality of education, and also bring a holistic approach to the country's educational infrastructure. It will bring together prominent and leading personalities from the field of education, politics and business. The US delegates, spread across sections, include Tom Niehaus - Ohio President of the Senate, George Miller - Chancellor, American InterContinental University and Frieda Yueh from IBM.
An understanding of educational policies of India and the US, and talks on quality assurance and accreditation are on the agenda. Among several interactions and events during the three-day event, sessions on Distance, Online and Vocational education shall also be held. Collaborative opportunities between the two countries and a glittering awards function are among the main attractions.
