The Alliance for US India Business (AUSIB) is a not for profit trade association with a mission to foster economic cooperation between the United States and India, based on shared values, through increased bilateral trade, investment, and corporate partnerships.
Since its inception in 2004, AUSIB is an established stake-holder in US-India trade and investment. AUSIB works with the Congressional Taskforce on U.S.-India Trade to advance legislation promoting US-India trade. It has played a leading role in advocating the lowering of specific trade barriers, increasing US exports to India and Indian exports to the US, resolving bottlenecks in immigration and employment policies, lowering business risks through strategic road maps, and facilitating cultural understanding.
AUSIB has played and continues to play a significant role in expanding bilateral trade in key sectors such as Information Technology, Pharmaceuticals & Life Sciences, Media & Entertainment, and Renewable Energy.
AUSIB is a unique player – with unparalleled effect - in building awareness among a new generation of Indian American business owners and among executives at Fortune 500 U.S. corporations - their historic role in an alliance that is based on the values of a democratic political system, rule of law, and continued free market economic reforms.
An independent business alliance, AUSIB is co-chaired by the Honorable Richard Armey, former House Majority Leader, (U.S.) and is co-chaired by the Honorable Salman Khurshid, Minister for Corporate Affairs; Minority Affairs, Government of India and the Honorable Arun Shourie, former Minister for Disinvestments and for Communications and Information Technology.
